WSP Appoints Sector Leader for Unconventional Gas
PITTSBURGH–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Environmental and sustainability consultancy, WSP Environment & Energy announces the appointment of John Romano as the Director – Energy Resources focusing on the unconventional gas sector. He will be responsible for directing our team of experts in providing cutting-edge solutions and services to the Exploration & Production (E&P) and Midstream Energy companies active in developing the Marcellus and Utica shale gas resource.
John brings 24 years of experience in engineering, environmental management, permitting and planning to WSP’s team focused on the unconventional gas sector. Prior to joining WSP, he served as the Vice President for the Oil and Gas Division for SCE Environmental Group where he was responsible for building business and managing projects in the Marcellus/Utica Shale region with E&P companies. He managed staff in the construction of permanent waterlines; oversaw a staff of E&S inspectors in the provision of Chapter 102 compliance inspections for pad sites weekly; developed solid waste disposal plans for well cuttings and water resource reclamation and treatment logistic plans; and led a team of contractors in reclamation of pad sites and a 16-mile gas pipeline.
